first! JOYCE IS COMING! IN DECEMBER! I'M HAVING A DUBLIN DUTCH CHRISTMAS! WITH OASIS IN THE POINT! and I'm such a legend, I bought the very very very VERY last ticket they had at ticketmaster, it was sort of just lolling around behind the counter waiting until i came to rescue it and take it home. heeh. YAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!
in this week's episode:
1. we were rejected from the HWCH thing.
2. we played a decent gig on wednesday, opening for another band, and get this - when our 26 minute set finished, people cheered and whooped and demanded another song (we had to repeat one), and when the headliners finished, everyone clapped politely and went back to their pints. *g* ooops. }:) but he still wants us to open for them this month and next. heh. WOOOHOO!! (we need more songs)
3. On thursday i went to a barbecue and made ice cream-and-rum cocktails and made myself ill on meat, and then Yan showed up with a bottle of absynth which he'd just brought back from Prague which 5 of us drank in about 10 minutes and then wrestled and giggled and fell over and ran around like zombies for rather a long time. I heart absynth.
3. got a guestlist into the Tassel Club on friday night, a burlesque show which i've seen before, only it was better this time, except that nobody went with me cos of various excuses, so all by my lonesome i tarted up like some bettie page 50's slut in red-and-white polkadots and fishnet, went to the show, was bought a load of drinks by men who one would think have never seen legs before, and then went to the aftershow party in superexclusivesuavewhatever place Odessa, and talked shite to painters and somebody from crowded house and drank other people's champagne and then teetered home. now C and I are thinking of doing some fetish photography, cos the clothes really are cool and meant for appreciation.
4. when is Kenza doing makeup for that film? and where the fuck is she?
5. I have decided, after various observations and experiences this week, that a junkie is, once a junkie, always a junkie.
